A key part of the mission of the Pipe Tobacco Council (PTC) is to advocate on behalf of the best interests of members and the general welfare and growth of the pipe tobacco industry. As the national trade association of pipe tobacco manufacturers, distributors, importers, suppliers and supporters, PTC is a strong and experienced advocate on behalf of its members, the industry, and adult consumers. Pipe Tobacco member companies have been working closely with a strong national network of seasoned advocacy specialists on issues such as federal regulations and state legislation that would negatively impact the industry.

Protecting the industry for years to come through proactive advocacy is a primary focus of PTC. The rich and vibrant culture of pipe tobacco has survived hundreds of years of change and innovation because it is a unique lifestyle that transcends generations. The industry will survive the next wave of legal and regulatory challenges because of the Pipe Tobacco Council and it’s ongoing efforts.
