Quick Lane Facts

Lane Ltd. has a rich history dating back decades. Sales catalogs from the 1940’s showcase an array of 40 pipe tobacco blends with prices starting at just 14 cents per ounce. In 1956 the iconic “Captain Black” tobacco hit the market. People described the flavor as “slightly aromatic, slow burning, and pleasant” and was sold for 25 cents per ounce. Now while ownership of the company changed hands over the years, the dedicated employees at the Tucker facility stayed loyal to the company. In fact, some individuals who worked at the current plant in Georgia also worked at the original Manhattan facility decades ago.

Scandinavian Tobacco Group Lane Ltd. boasts a vast portfolio of brands and maintains a global presence in the tobacco industry. With its rich history, commitment to quality, and experienced leadership, the company continues to shape the industry and provide tobacco enthusiasts with an exceptional range of products.
